 Day 1

  • Arrival in Yerevan, transfer to hotel.
  • Drive through Yerevan with various stops along the way, admire at architecture and daily life of 2795 year old.
  • Visit Matenadaran institute museum, which houses over 17,000 ancient and medieval manuscripts.
  • The Food Market of Yerevan is another highlight of this day with the opportunity to wander through the aisles of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables.

Day 2

  • Drive to the scenic canyon of the Azat River to Geghard Cave Monastery at the bottom, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
  • Continue trip to Hellenistic-inspired Garni temple built in 66 AD, dedicated to the Armenian God of the Sun Mitra.
  • Enjoy lunch in the courtyard of a family in Garni village, consisting of local traditional cuisine.
  • A visit to the Museum of Armenian History is a fascinating journey through the rich history of Armenia.

Day 3

  • At about 40 km south of Yerevan stands Khor Virap Monastery at the foot of Biblical Mount Ararat
  • Drive through a narrow canyon is in order to reach the valley of red rocks where Noravank Monastery is located
  • En route visit wine factory to taste local wine made of unique grape sort “Areni”.
  • Next stop is Qarahunge, a 6,000yearold observatory, known as the “Armenian Stonehenge.
  • Reach town of Goris encompassed by rocky caves and mountains.

Day 4

  • The day is dedicated to the pearl of Armenian Medieval architecture, the Monastery and University of Tatev.
  • Here you have a chance to ride on the longest cable car in the world 5.7 km over the 320 meter-deep Vorotan River Canyon.
  • Stop at natural bridge named “Devil’s Bridge” at the bottom of a deep canyon.
  • Next stop is the resort town of Jermuk, famous for its hot mineral springs and scenic landscape.
  • Enjoy the walk through the Arpa River Canyon to admire the Jermuk Waterfall.

Day 5

  • This day takes you through a section of the Great Silk Road towards the Selim Pass.
  • Stop at 14th century Selim Caravanserai – one of the most well-preserved hostels along the ancient Great Silk Road.
  • En route immerse yourself at the azure of Lake Sevan 2000 m above sea.
  • After lunch, you will continue the trip to Dilijan, a lush town immersed in green forests.

Day 6

  • Drive to the north of the country, to visit Haghpat Monastery and Sanahin Medieval University, which are both listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
  • Admire at beautiful landscapes of lush forests, the rocky deep canyon of Debed river and quaint little villages scattered along the canyon
  • Enjoy lunch in a family-run local restaurant where Armenian traditional dishes are introduced to the palate
  • Stop at Saghmosavank Monastery located atop the yawning Kasakh River Gorge.

Day 7

  • Visit to the Genocide Memorial to commemorate innocent victims of the biggest crime of the 20th century.
  • Continue trip to Echmiadzin, the religious center of all Armenians around the world.
  • Lunch in Unity Cross.

  • Transfer to airport, departure.
