  • Arrival in Yerevan, transfer to hotel
  • Start Yerevan exploration with a visit to Saint Sargis Church, nicely located on the left bank of Hrazdan River Canyon

  • Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral is the symbol of the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as a State Religion in Armenia
  • Visit to the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, the religious center of all Armenians around the world, see  the Holy Spear, one of the relics of Christianity
  • Next stop is Saint Hripsime Church, founded in 618

Day 2

  • Drive to Azat River Canyon to Geghard Cave Monastery, the lance which pierced Jesus’s body was kept here during several centuries
  • Continue trip to Garni the Hellenistic-inspired temple of 66 AD dedicated to the Armenian God of the Sun “Mitra”
  • Visit to the Armenian Genocide Museum to commemorate the innocent victims of the biggest crime against humanity of 20th century

  • Stop at the 14th century Selim Caravanserai, one of the best preserved hostels along the ancient Great Silk Road

  • Drive uphill to Hagartsin Monastery dramatically located among picturesque mountains covered with dense forest
  • Continue trip to Haghpat village where Haghpat Monastery – UNESCO World Heritage Site is located

Day 6

  • Start day with a visit to Sanahin Medieval Monastery listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site

  • Continue trip to Saghmosavank Monastery located atop the yawning deep gorge
