The inside territory of the monastery is no less majestic: dim stone halls, carved into the rock, with carvings on the walls and the gentle murmur wafting from the spring, give it a particularly mysterious look. Many pilgrims come to this place to get holy water that is believed to be healing. Some time later our trip will continue to Garni Temple situated on a high rocky cliff. From three sides, this temple is surrounded by deep canyons with picturesque cliffs and bizarre steep rocks. The dinner will be organized in the open air in Garni village and will be accompanied by the demonstration of Armenian traditional bread lavash baking. Our next stop will be at Lake Sevan – one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. Due to it unique and majestic beauty, the lake is called “the pearl” of Armenia. Here you will go up to Sevan peninsula and visit Sevanavank Monastery. From the top of the hill opens the most beautiful view to the lake and surroundings.
