The second day will start with a trip to Geghard Monastery located on the slopes of steep cliffs surrounded by harsh and majestic nature. The inside territory of the monastery is no less majestic: dim stone halls, carved into the rock, with carvings on the walls and the gentle murmur wafting from the spring, give it a particularly mysterious look. Many pilgrims come to this place to get holy water that is believed to be healing. Some time later our trip will continue to Garni Temple situated on a high rocky cliff. From three sides, this temple is surrounded by deep canyons with picturesque cliffs and bizarre steep rocks. The dinner will be organized in the open air in Garni village and will be accompanied by the demonstration of Armenian traditional bread lavash baking. Our next stop will be at Lake Sevan – one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. Due to its unique and majestic beauty, the lake is called “the pearl” of Armenia. Here you will go up to Sevan peninsula and visit Sevanavank Monastery. The most beautiful view of the lake and surroundings opens from the top of the hill. At the end of the day, you will return to Yerevan, where you’ll enjoy a dinner in the traditional restaurant.

The third day will start with a drive to Yerevan market, which offers a great variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, nuts, dried fruits, and other local products. Once you enter the market you will feel the peculiar atmosphere and bright coloring of it. Our last excursion will be in Echmiadzin town- the religious center of all Armenians. It is here in this town, where the residence of the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church is situated. The main place in this town is occupied by the Cathedral – the ancient temple, one of the first one in all Christian world. The foundation of it was founded in 301 by Gregory the Illuminator – the first Catholicos of Armenian Church. The internal painting of the Cathedral completed in the XVIII century impresses by its Byzantine luxury. The dinner will be arranged in the “Unity Cross” organization. It is children’s educational and cultural institution, where in the traditional ethnographic environment specialists teach crafts, visual and theatrical arts. After dinner, you can try on Armenian national costumes and take part in a master class of Armenian national dances. Everyone can make very colorful photos that will long remind of this interesting journey around Armenia. At the end of the day, a transfer to the hotel will be organized for you.
