Our recent tour of Armenia was a memorable experience filled with cultural discoveries and breathtaking landscapes. Over the course of 8 days, we explored the highlights of this ancient land, immersing ourselves in its rich history and traditions.
The Geghard Monastery stood as the highlight of our tour in Armenia. Tucked away within the cliffs of the Azat River Gorge, it offered a glimpse into the country's ancient past. As we explored its stone chambers and intricate carvings, we were struck by the monastery's sense of history and spirituality. The peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views made it a truly memorable stop on our journey.
Overall, our tour of Armenia was a memorable experience that left us with a deeper understanding of this fascinating country. While there were some minor issues along the way, they did not detract significantly from our overall enjoyment of the trip. We would recommend this tour to others seeking a cultural adventure in Armenia.
Truth be told, we knew next to nothing about Armenia before this trip. The idea to visit Armenia came spontaneously, as we wanted to find an atypical country for our trip. Now we feel as if we have won a lottery. The journey was vivid, memorable and exciting. We especially enjoyed the local cuisine as well as the people. There are very few places where you can meet such hospitable and open-hearted people, it is very rare nowadays. Thank you for organizing a wonderful holiday for us.
I recently returned from a spectacular 8-day tour of Armenia, and I can't recommend it highly enough! This trip was a perfect blend of history, culture, breathtaking landscapes, and warm hospitality.
The country is wonderfully colourful and vibrant. For me the greatest highlight of the trip was visiting the Tatev Monastery, accessible via the Wings of Tatev, the world's longest ropeway. The ride itself was thrilling, offering panoramic views of the Vorotan Gorge. The monastery complex, perched on the edge of a cliff, was a masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture. The history and legends surrounding Tatev were captivating, and the setting was truly magical.
I also greatly enjoyed small evening walks in Yerevan after the tour. Wish I could stay there a little longer.
