Favorite site in Armenia

Vardan believes that Khor Virap Monastery is one of the must-visit sights in Armenia. First of all, it has historical importance and its location with the best view of Mount Ararat is absolutely awe-inspiring.

Why guide?

For Vardan it is a great opportunity to communicate with different people and solve non-standard problems that happen along the way. The communication with each tourist helps him to learn traditions and customs of other nations.

Hi Sati

Overall, we have thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour, and can only offer a few suggestions which you may like to consider. Probably overall, too many monasteries!

Azerbaijan. Guide Rugiya was fantastic . Liked the itinerary there very much. Hotel in Gabala very basic, empty pool but understand there is probably not a lot of options there.

Georgia.

We found the crossing of the border in to Georgia was fine because we only had smaller carry on suitcases. The ramps on each of the steps are not wide enough to easily roll a larger suitcase.

Telavi - Holiday Inn there had insufficient towels for the number of guests staying. On both nights, we had no towels for a shower before bed . They were delivered to the room at 11pm after we were asleep. -Enjoyed the times that we stopped unplanned on the roadside to see e.g. bread making.

Armenia.

Vardan was exceptional. Took us to a number of places that were not on the itinerary, which we enjoyed very much and maybe could be included and leave off a monastery or two.

Cave houses outside of Goris - Khndzoresk Caves

Line of Stones - Carahunge monument

Columnar basalt gorge below Garni Temple- very impressive.

Thanks again Sati, for arranging our great holiday. You we very easy to deal with in the planning and kept in touch while we were enroute.

Regards,

Ian and Barbara

Good morning Florena,

We just wanted to say thank you for the incredible journey through the 5 Stans and the Caucasus. It truly was the trip of a lifetime for us we never thought would be that memorable.

Every country brought something unique — and the local guides really made the experience. In Uzbekistan, Dilshod was a walking encyclopedia — so knowledgeable and full of humor. In Kyrgyzstan, Maria was absolutely lovely and made sure we felt at home everywhere. And when we got to Georgia, Ia brought so much energy and passion that we felt like we were traveling with a friend. Vardan in Armenia was also terrific, very knowledgeable and accommodating to our certain needs.

There was one small mix-up with our luggage not arriving in Tashkent on time, but your team followed up immediately, and the hotel staff had it delivered by the next morning — it was handled really professionally.

We are so glad we chose your company, thank you again! Looking forward to our next trip with you, guys.

All our best,
Barbara and Michael Fordham

Georgia and Armenia Classical Tour Package

We are two single females in their 60s, who recently travelled through Georgia and Armenia with Arara Tours in April 2025 and took their nine-day Classic Cultural Private Tour. Our experience was outstanding from start to finish and every day we were overwhelmed by so much we had seen and explored. Florena, our dedicated tour manager, was incredibly reliable and maintained excellent communication throughout. She was quick to respond to any questions before and during the trip and regularly checked in to ensure everything was going smoothly. Both of our guides-Temo in Georgia and Vardan in Armenia-were exceptional. Their deep knowledge, warm personalities, and genuine passion for their countries truly brought the history and culture to life. The hotels chosen were very well located and of a high standard. Both offered generous buffet breakfasts, and the hotel in Yerevan even had a spa, which was a lovely bonus! Plus the staff were exceptionally friendly and willing to meet any of our specific needs. When bad weather made it impossible to visit Kazbegi in Georgia, which was on our itinerary, a great alternative plan was quickly arranged, which we really appreciated. All vehicles used were comfortable, the drivers were careful and punctual, and all logistics including the cross-border handover and airport transfers-were handled seamlessly. Both Georgia and Armenia are fascinating countries, and the rich history, stunning sights, and cultural insights we experienced have left us with lasting memories. Arara Tours truly went above and beyond, and this trip surpassed all our expectations. We highly recommended Arara Tours for anyone looking to explore the Caucasus with expert guidance and personalized care.
