Introduction

In recent years, Armenia has become a popular destination for the tourists from different Arabic countries. The tourists come to Armenia to enjoy the unique nature, visit winter ski resorts and get acquainted with interesting and popular sights. After breakfast, you will head to the south of Armenia to KhorVirap Monastery, a historic site located amidst the Ararat Valley. The monastery was built on the place of the royal prison in Artashat. Here in royal prison, Gregory the Illuminator suffered for 13 years for preaching Christianity in Armenia in the 3rd century. Nowhere else in Armenia you will see such an amazing view of the Biblical Ararat. You will continue through a narrow canyon to the valley of red rocks to Noravank Monastery. The overnight will be in Goris – a small town surrounded by beautiful cliffs and wooded hills.
