Introduction

Day 3 - Sevan - Sevanavank - Dilijan - Yerevan

Sevan - Dilijan - Haghartsin
This day you will head to Lake Sevan, the “blue pearl of Armenia” and one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world located at about 2000 meters above sea level. Here you will visit Sevanavank monastery which was found in 874 by Princess Mariam. Lunch will be served in a restaurant overlooking the lake with local lake-caught fish on the menu. The trip will continue to Dilijan, a lush town known as a spa resort. A stroll in the historical district will let you experience the atmosphere of the old town as it was in the 19th century. The imaginatively carved balconies so typical for the 19th century Dilijan display the region’s historical love for fine woodwork. In the evening you’ll be back to Yerevan for a rest and overnight. In Yerevan, you will visit the brandy factory ArArAt the production of which is known all over the world. Here you will taste two kinds of Armenian brandy.

Hello Gohar! The trip was awesome. Attractions were great, weather was nice and we enjoyed having lunches in traditional Armenia’s houses. This added more to our vacation. Definitely will recommend your company to my friends and colleagues, and I already did! Also special thanks to our awesome guider. She was very friendly and I enjoyed her stories and knowledge I got from her. Also our driver was great, patient and understanding as my mum kept talking with him in Arabic

Hello!
Liana, I have to pay you a compliment- in 20 years of international travel- you are the most responsive travel agent whom I have ever met!
Overall, we were happy with the tour and the visit to different sites, as well as with Arthur, our guide/driver. I think we did a fairly good job of selecting sites that are representative of Armenian history and culture. Arthur was knowledgeable on various topics and even helped with things not associated with the trip, like showing me a barber shop for a haircut. He was also very helpful in talking to different vendors at the Vernissage market, where I found saddle bags/ khurudjin that I have been trying to find for a long time!
We also found the people in Armenia to be generally friendly and helpful. If I was to offer any criticisms they were more to do with things beyond the scope of you control, for e.g. for more restaurants and other public spaces to have a separate non-smoking section or for the government to create better roads in some places. Again this is not something that your company can control.

Thanks again!
