Literature & Art Museum

Literature & Art Museum after Yeghishe Charents was opened in 1921. The museum represents a collection of more than 1 million pieces of Armenian literature since the 18th century, including works of Sayat-Nova, his musical instruments, and sound recordings. The museum is considered one of the largest in the country.

The museum is divided into literary, theatrical and musical halls, in which works of famous Armenian composers, writers, public figures and artists are exhibited. It has more than 600 collections, including manuscripts, photographs, furniture, sculptures, paintings, documents and much more.

In addition to the permanent exhibition “From Sayat-Nova to Charents”, regular events with famous cultural figures, creative events and exhibitions are organized. The museum is open daily from 11:00 to 17:00.
