This tour was more than just ticking off sights — it felt like a deep dive into two very different yet connected cultures. Our local guide Sophie in Georgia was excellent, Raffi in Armenia very friendly and knowledgeable. Our hotel in Yerevan was especially great as we had a lovely view of Mt Ararat from our hotel room.
We recommend this tour for those who are looking to cover the highlights and UNESCO sites in the 2 countries in 9 days.
I had an amazing tour to the Caucasus with Arara. I chose the 21-day tour package after a long discussion with Hasmik. She did a great job and helped me a lot. I was not sure whether to choose 17 or 21 days, but I’m really glad I picked the 21-day tour. It was a wonderful experience! We enjoyed the culture and nature, and the people in the Caucasus are truly kind and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the tour with our guides, a big thank you to Rafi in Armenia! He made us laugh with his jokes and made the trip even more fun.
Dear Arara Team and our agent Hasmik,
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our tour across Central Asia and the Caucasus. It was such a unique mix of cultures, landscapes, and history — and your team managed it all beautifully.
The guides were great, provided us with lots of history about the countries. I wish we had only one guide in Uzbekistan, not one guide per city which would have made our trip smoother. However, the guides in each city were good and knowledgeable.
Muhammad in Samarkand was a favorite — so passionate about the Silk Road history, and he even helped us find a beautiful handmade carpet at a fair price. Maria in Kyrgyzstan took us off the beaten path for a short walk by Issyk-Kul Lake that turned out to be a highlight of the trip! Serdar in Turkmenistan was simply wonderful, very caring, absolutely great at his job. And we can’t forget Raffi in Armenia — the best guide we have ever had.
Our friends and family are also interested in the same trip with you. They will contact you shortly. Hope to travel with you again someday!
Warm regards,
Jason and Brooke Stainfield
