I just came back from the 31 day tour: Five 'Stans' Silk Road and the Caucasus. This is my longest trip until now. We travelled and visited 8 countries in total. I had some preoccupations before this trip for the logistic and the organisation of this extended tour, but overall, I am quite impressed and very satisfied with Arara organisation. I was well taken care by the company. Sati, rep. from Arara, was always available when I needed any information or any kind of support. She followed our itinerary closely and sent us message via WhatsApp to make sure that everything is OK and in case we need any help. We felt well supported and Arara was very responsive and made any change needed to accomodate and facilitate our journey. I really appreciate that Arara freely upgrade our hotels from 3 to 4 star. I was very satisfied with our hotels, particularly surprised by the quality of hotels in the Stans countries(Ashgabat, Samarkand, Taskent, Bishkek), better than I thought. All our guides from each country are very good and well dedicated (Shovkat in Uzbekistan, Ezi in Turkmenistan, Ninor in Georgia). We also appreciated the complimetary diners offered to us by Arara in some of the best restaurants of the cities. Besides the good logistic and organisation, I have to talk about the journey and the places we visited. I strongly recommend to all serious travelers to visit the Stans countries, the Silk road. This part of the world with its landscape, history and culture have a lot to impress travelers. But it's the PEOPLE in those countries that really make a lasting memory to me. This part of the world is still underrated on the list of world tourism but I'm glad to know that more and more people/travelers/tourists begin to recognize it and come to visit it. Come to visit those Stans countries and it will change your view of the world. The second part of our adventure is the Caucasus. Another flavor as we touch the cradle of many things. The origin of caucasian/european descent, the origin of human race after the Flood with Mount Ararat/Noah's Ark and even the cradle of Christianism with the Apostolic Church of Armenia. The churches/monasteries in Armenia are like no others in the world. Nothing fancy, no masterpiece of art like many other churches of western countries but it feels so authentic since they emphasize on the relation between you and God, not the comtemplation or admiration of art masterpieces... About history, Yerevan was found even before Rome. Also very touching and revolting to learn about the genocide of Armenia. Visiting this part of the world is just like walking back to the defining moments of history of mankind. We were very lucky and blessed to have nice weather during our trip so we can admire the Mount Ararat in its splendor, the mountain range of Caucasus, Issyk-Kul lake in Kyrgyzstan, the Seven Lakes in Tadjikistan. Actually, we were the last group of tourists to have the opportunity to visit the Gas Crater in Turkmenistan, nickname 'Gate of Hell' as the government will close this site after this year... Thank you Sati and Arara Tour for making this tour a memorable adventure with lifetime souvenirs for me. God bless you all and God bless the people of the Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and surely the people of Armenia, true defender and keeper of Christian faith. Sati, the four of us arrived home safely yesterday. We really enjoyed the whole trip and Raffi in Armenia was a superb guide. He did so much to give us information on our WhatsApp group in advance of what we were going to see and was thoughtful about our needs and requests. We will certainly recommend the trip to friends! All the best to you and thank you for keeping in touch.

Hi Sati.

Here are a few notes. Feel free to make it shorter if it's too long, thanks The organisation from start to finish was amazing with great communication from Sati from Arara tours. The 3 counties were beautiful all in very different ways. All the guides were very knowledgeable and you could see the passion that they had for their countries. Azerbaijan was stunning and we were lucky to be there whilst the F1 grand Prix was on in Baku, it didn't hinder us in seeing this beautiful pristine city. Our Guide in Georgia called Gvantsa, was so nice, very knowledgeable and read the group really well, she knew when we had information overload and wanted to just saunter by ourselves. She was always on hand to help with anything. Most tours finished around 5pm allowing the evening to be yours to do your own thing which we appreciated. She guided us through the immigration crossing into Armenia then passed us to our guide called Heyku who again was so lovely and also very knowledgeable and passionate about her country. The places we got to see were amazing and I think the order which we saw the countries in was perfect. The area as a whole has its political problems which is sad, I hope one day they all get the peace and stability they all deserve. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see this part of the world which has so much history and is very beautiful.

Thank you.

Dear Tatev.

Tricia and I are now in Istanbul for 3 days after our wonderful tour of Mongolia. I loved the itinerary and repeat that I feel it was good value. I felt very attached to Rolmar and Azaa. We had lots of laughs and they were very attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble. We learned alot from them. I enjoyed the food. At the end of our tour Tricia and I had an extra day and visited the Chingis Khan Museum which we highly recommend. Our hotel was fine but breakfast was poor. The hotel was well located. Keep in touch with your tours.

Kind regards.

Hi Tatev,

I would like to give you my feedback. I loved the tour of Mongolia, the itinerary was great, the guide and driver exceptional. One of the camps was rather primitive with almost no electricity or water, particularly hot water but most camps we were happy with. We would love to hear of any future trips you plan as we like what you do. Both Stephanie and I have extensively travelled in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan so are not intended in those tours.

Regards

Tricia Brown

Hi Ani,

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed the tour. Twenty-one days sounded long at first, but honestly, the time flew by! We loved the mix of history and nature, especially Kazbegi and Tatev. Our guide Tanya in Georgia was so much fun, and she really kept the group laughing. Ani in Armenia was like a walking encyclopedia, she knew simply everything.

She also sang for us in the monastery, it was one of the most memorable days I would never forget.

People in Georgia and Armenia are so lovely and so hospitable. I would come back without hesitation.

Thanks for the wonderful arrangements and for checking with us during the trip.

Our journey through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia was unforgettable. Each guide was excellent — Svetlana in Azerbaijan, Temo in Georgia, and Anna in Yerevan — and we felt very well looked after throughout. The hotels were nice, comfortable and centrally located though 3*. We are glad we did not choose the 4*. Thank you for such a well-organized and memorable trip.

Hi Florena,

We thoroughly enjoyed the 21 days traveling with you. The program was varied and interesting, and the guides — Ilham in Azerbaijan, Sopi in Georgia, and Tatev in Armenia — each had their own style, which made the experience richer. We did have a small change in the itinerary due to weather in the mountains, but your team quickly arranged an alternative visit that turned out to be just as enjoyable. Everything felt very well cared for. Thank you again!

This was one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. The itinerary was so well thought out — we loved the balance between history, culture, and nature. Gobustan with its rock carvings, the caves of Kutaisi, the mountain scenery around Gudauri, and Tatev Monastery were absolute highlights. The hotels were comfortable and always in convenient locations, and the tour manager’s support was excellent throughout. Thank you for such a smooth and unforgettable experience! We are already interested in visiting the 5 Stans of Central Asia with Arara.

This was our first time visiting the Caucasus, and the 17-day tour could not have been a better choice. The itinerary was excellent, quite packed but every site worth visiting. Our guide in Azerbaijan – Svetlana was amazing, Sophie in Georgia was a very lovely and helpful guide, and finally Raffi in Armenia was terrific.

We loved Armenia the most. Hope we can return one day.

Hi Inga,

We just came back from the 21-day tour, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The program was very rich, but never overwhelming — every day had its highlights, whether it was modern Baku, the wine region of Georgia, or the monasteries of Armenia. The guides were excellent, full of knowledge and enthusiasm, and the drivers were reliable and careful, which made us feel safe throughout. Having a free day at the end in Yerevan was a great touch, giving us time to relax and reflect on the journey.

Hi Hasmik,

Thanks so much for the best service and communication pre-tour and during the tour checking with me all the time, we couldn’t have been cared for more. All the guides were wonderful, sites were great, the drivers were good and careful. Though I was shocked how fast the driving was in Georgia and Azerbaijan, but our drivers were driving very well.

I am very glad I chose this trip to cover as much as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 Caucasus countries and the sites. The group members were also great and lovely people.

I had a wonderful time!
