Favorite site in Uzbekistan

Bekzod's favorite site in Khiva is the Kuhna Ark. It is an ancient fortress located in the Itchan Kala. He likes it because it was the residence of the Khivan rulers and has many interesting parts like the throne room, the mosque, and the watchtower. When he visited it, he felt the strong history and power of the place. The view from the top of the watchtower is also amazing — you can see all of Khiva from there.

Why guide?

He chose to become a tour guide because he likes meeting different people and making new friends. He also enjoys introducing them to my country’s rich history and culture. It makes him happy when tourists learn something new and enjoy their time here.

Dear Inga and Arara Team,

We’re back from our 19-day adventure and already missing it! The variety of experiences – from city tours in Tashkent and Ashgabat to the natural beauty of Issyk Kul and Darvaza – was exactly what we were looking for.

We did not experience any inconvenience through the tour, it was well planned and the guides were brilliant! There was a small issue with our hotel room in Samarkand (it wasn’t ready when we arrived), but our coordinator Ani sorted it out within 15 minutes and even arranged complimentary tea for us while we waited. The local guide Bobur in Bukhara was especially fantastic – he brought history to life.

Thanks for making our trip smooth and memorable!

All the best,
Jan and Marlies

I was a bit doubtful at first because I had never heard of the Arara tour, but their reviews are good and I would like to visit 5 stars. I'm so glad I booked it! The itinerary was well-planned, offering a mix of culture and beautiful landscapes. Florena was helpful from the start, and always quick to answer my questions. Our guide was fantastic. She is organized, informative, and speaks great English. We traveled by comfortable buses, local planes, and trains, all of which were of high quality. Our group of 12 was made up of travelers from around the world, which was a lot of fun. The locals were very friendly, and the hotels were great. I highly recommend Araratour to anyone planning to visit Central Asia.
