Day 1 – December 31

  • Arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel

Day 3 – January 2

  • Trip along the picturesque canyon of River Azat
  • Visit to the cave monastery of the 13th century Geghard, which is located at the bottom of the canyon and is included into the UNESCO World Heritage List
  • After the excursion, the tour continues to the village of Garni known for its Garni temple – the only surviving example of the Hellenistic style. In Garni complex, there are Royal Baths which demonstrate unique oven along with the well-preserved original mosaics
  • You will have an excellent opportunity to enjoy the dishes of local traditional cuisine in family-run private restaurant in Garni Village
  • Visit to Yeraz Winter Park. Here you can feel New Year fairytale atmosphere and have fun on ice-hills and the ice rink.

Day 4 – January 3

  • Head to Sevan peninsula hilltop where Sevanavank Monastery is located
  • Stop to admire the beauty of Lake Sevan, one the highest and biggest freshwater lakes in the world located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level
  • Trip to the famous ski resort Tsakhkadzor
  • Visit to Kecharis Monastery built in the 13th century
  • You will have an opportunity to ski and do other winter sports

Day 5 – January 4

  • Visit to the monastery complex of Khor Virap located at the foot of Biblical Mount Ararat. There are no any place in Armenia where this mount seems so close and majestic!
  • The next stop – the monastery of Noravank which is another pearl of Armenian architecture.
  • This region is famous for its unique grape sort called Areni and here at the local wine factory Areni those who wish can taste exquisite local wines.

Day 6 – January 5

  • Head to one of the brightest landmark of medieval Armenian architecture –the magnificent Zvartnots Temple constructed in the 7-th century.
  • Visit to the Holy See of Echmiadzin – the religious center of all Armenians around the world. The main sight in this town is the Cathedral – the oldest Christian church in Armenia, one of the first in the whole Christian world
  • You’ll have the opportunity to take part in the main Christmas service of the country
  • Christmas dinner and master class of cooking tolma in the restaurant “Ararat Hall”
