Group Tour to Armenia – 8 days

The tour is organized from the 15th of March  to the 1st of November.

Day 1 – Sunday

  • Arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel
  • Registration at the hotel, free time

 

Day 2 – Monday

  • Excursion to the Monastery of Saghmosavank located high above the gorge at the River Kasakh
  • Next you will visit the monument of the Armenian Alphabet built in the honor of the creation of Armenian letters
  • The tour continues to the Fortress of Amberd which belongs to the Middle Ages
  • Excursion to Karmravor Church in Ashtarak town
  • After the tour will visit the city of Oshakan, where was buried the creator of the Armenian Alphabet – Mesrop Mashtots

 

Day 3 – Tuesday

  • Drive to amazing Lake Sevan. Here you will climb the high hill, where proudly stands the monastery of Sevanavank. It offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding beauties.
  • The tour continues to the town of Dilijan, known for its healing, filled with pine aromas air. Here you will have an excursion  the monasteries of Goshavank and Haghartsin located in the forests.

 

Day 4 – Wednesday

  • The tour continues to Lake Sevan. You will climb the high hill, where proudly stands the monastery of Sevanavank. It offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding beauty.
  • The tour continues to the town of Dilijan, known for its healing, filled with pine aromas air. Here you will have an excursion  the monasteries of Goshavank and Haghartsin located in the forests.

 

Day 5 – Thursday

  • Visit to Etchmiadzin – the spiritual center of all Armenians in the world
  • You will go to the ruins of Zvartnots Temple

 

Day 6 – Friday

  • Excursion to the monastery of Haghpat, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monastery is a classic example of the medieval Armenian architecture.
  • Continuation of the tour to the university and monastery of Sanahin, which in the Middle Ages was the scientific center and a repository of ancient manuscripts.

 

Day 7 – Saturday

  • City tour around Yerevan – ancient capital of Armenia that is older that Rome
  • Excursion to the Museum Erebuni which will tell you the history of Yerevan
  • Excursion in Matenadaran – world-known depository of the ancient manuscripts
  • Visit to the Genocide memorial located on the Tsitsernakaberd hill

 

Day 8 – Sunday

  • Transfer to the airport, departure
